General Description\n
Support daily repair and manufacturing operations for incoming workload for F-15 ACES II Ejection Seats and associated systems and components.\n
Duties\n\nTroubleshoot, repair, and modify test systems of a variety of aircraft ordnance systems such as missile and special weapons launching devices, decoys, egress and jettison systems and rocket launching equipment.\nSet-up work area and determine degree of disassembly necessary and the extent of rework needed\nInstall, adjust, align, troubleshoot, and perform final functional and operational tests on aircraft egress, jettison and rocket launching ordnance systems\nInterpret and apply technical orders, technical manuals, blueprints, schematic drawings, and other technical information\nTest a variety of aircraft ordnance systems using electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic principles of operation such as missile and special weapons launching devices, decoys, egress and jettison systems and rocking launching equipment\nRepair or replace components such as indictors, timers, intervalometers, valves, cylinders, solenoids, resistors, explosive shape charges, oxygen regulators, and actuators to avoid removing the equipment or components form the system and routing them to the shop.\nMake final functional and operational checks and adjust the system under simulated armed conditions\nPerform flight line maintenance of aircraft including functional testing, troubleshooting and repairing all egress ACES II systems their assemblies and components \nPerform post assembly checkout, adjustment, and repair of overhauled and modified aircraft to prepare for and correct deficiencies found on functional check flights. \nIdentify malfunctions and determines corrective action required\nInitiate requisitions for needed parts and supplies \nOther duties as assigned\n\n
Education\/Experience Requirements\n\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent\nRequired to have completed Initial Egress Training J3ABR2A633 048B, Sheppard AFB\nPreferred but not required to have completed F-15 TAC Aircrew Egress Systems Maintenance (FTD) J4AMP2A6X3 A25A school\nMust have at least four years of recent verifiable experience \nKnowledge of safety regulations, practices and procedures involved in ordnance systems maintenance\nSkill in the use of test equipment and measuring devices such as leak detectors, feelers gauges, dial indictors, micrometers, bore sight tools, multimeters, voltmeters, and ammeters\nKnowledge of a wide variety of parts, components, subsystems, and assemblies such as ejection seats, nuclear shielding or similar self-contained systems\nSkill in reading and understanding data and settings for egress systems\nMust be a US Citizen\nMust be able to pass a background check, which could include a criminal history and credit check for access to Government facilities.\nMust have or be able to obtain a Secret Clearance.\nWe maintain a drug-free workplace and perform post offer, pre-employment substance abuse testing.\n\n
