Position Purpose: Supports Service Center Operations projects. Works closely with Scheduling and the Business Office to support the goals and objectives of Service Center Operations. Job Description Principle Duties and Responsibilities: Essential Functions: + Establishes Bill of Material and forwards to Spares so parts and materials can be ordered and received prior to aircraft arrival. + Performs follow-up on due dates on material to resolve any timing problems that would impact the aircraft project plan. + Determines job requirements from support groups for each project (i.e., Custom Engineering, Service Engineering, Back Shops, Outside Vendors). + Downloads CMP as required. and adjusts for concurrent tasks and hours needed to complete each project. + Establishes and/or adjusts work descriptions and standard hours while keeping the work order system in sync with the standard hours. + Develops a project flow chart working from data base templates and operations to preplan each project. + Supports Operations with all requirements for project planning. Additional Functions: + If applicable, conducts training for other planners and fills in for Group Leader and/or Scheduler. . Perform other duties as assigned. Other Requirements: + Excellent verbal and written communication skills. + Ability to read, write, and speak the English language. + Ability to retain confidential information is necessary. + Familiarity with aircraft terminology, components and systems including FAA regulations. + Very familiar with inspection requirements and CMP. + Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
