As a Value Stream Leader (VSL) in Collins Aerospace’s Aircraft Sensing organization, you will be at the forefront of driving operational excellence across commercial manufacturing programs and their associated aftermarket services. You’ll lead a dynamic team responsible for managing product life cycles, from strategic business planning to order fulfillment, production, and customer support. This role demands a blend of technical expertise, business acumen, and leadership, as you guide cross-functional teams to ensure on-time, high-quality product delivery while maintaining strong customer relationships.

What YOU Will Do:

Active management of the product life cycleLeads medium to large size programs to ensure adherence to program plans, schedules and budgets for programs under his/her responsibility and recommends appropriate adjustmentsDevelops product line investment business cases, new business growth strategies and drives annual strategic planning efforts for the businessIdentifies product requirements for key program pursuits and development of the product lineOversees creation of product and solution roadmaps and identifies opportunities to generate product reuse across multiple programsIdentifies and reacts to program problems and recommends solutions, such as allocation of resources and changing contractual specifications, and assists in resolution development for escalated problemsSupervises the appropriate use of all resources allocated to the program to ensure efficient use of resourcesSupports the negotiation of contracts and contractual changes, including coordinating preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements, operational budgets, specifications, and financial conditions of contracts to ensure legal compliance and to protect the organization’s interestsExecution responsibilities include cost, schedule, technical performance, risk management, product support, manufacturing, and quality of all assigned product linesWork with all business units to ensure customer commitments are met or exceededInterfaces with internal and external customers for project specifications to ensure successful completionLeads decision making for the IPTs and applying critical thinking where incomplete data existsDevelops internal and external networks and effectively communicates and motivates a teamCommunicates vision to their IPT and stakeholders within and outside of the function, as well as connects how the vision fits within the Defense marketRequires ability to communicate with senior executive leadership regarding matters of strategic importancePrepares and presents value-stream strategy, progress, and resultsConsolidates and presents progress reports at customer, program, or product reviewsManages multiple supplier relationships in coordination with Subcontracts ManagementEstablishes cost focused performance targets and directs work to achieve these targets

Qualifications You Must Have:

Typically requires University Degree and minimum 12 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 10 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 16 years of relevant experienceU.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access the financial management system due to government contractual requirements

Experience in leading cross-functional teams in a manufacturing environment, particularly in aerospace or defense industriesProven ability to drive strategic growth initiatives, including product line development and roadmap creation, within a highly regulated environmentStrong contract negotiation skills, with a background in managing supplier relationships and ensuring compliance with government contractual requirements

The salary range for this role is 143,000 USD - 287,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
