**Job Title: Aircraft Structures Mechanic (Iwakuni)**
**Job Description**
We are seeking an experienced Aircraft Structures Mechanic to join our team in Iwakuni, Japan. The successful candidate will perform O-Level Corrosion control on 5th generation Fighter Jets (F-35 Aircraft), conduct Outer Mold Line (OML) inspections, coating system repair, and corrosion control inspections. This role involves coordinating maintenance efforts with the Maintenance Operation Center (MOC) to ensure timely return of aircraft to mission capable status, and overseeing the maintenance activities of assigned personnel.
**Responsibilities**
+ Perform O-Level Corrosion control on F-35 Aircraft.
+ Conduct Outer Mold Line (OML) inspections, coating system repair, and corrosion control inspections.
+ Coordinate maintenance efforts with Maintenance Operation Center (MOC) to ensure timely return of aircraft to mission capable status.
+ Plan and coordinate shop workload and dispatch personnel as required.
+ Ensure assigned personnel have access to and use adequate technical data during all phases of aircraft maintenance.
+ Ensure personnel are trained and practice good housekeeping, tool control, supply disciplines, FOD awareness/prevention, proper disposal of materials, and safety.
+ Monitor the status of aircraft and coordinate efforts with subordinate personnel and MOC.
+ Monitor QC reports and implement corrective measures to improve maintenance quality and prevent adverse trends.
+ Conduct inspections of aircraft and system maintenance to ensure quality and completeness.
+ Annotate maintenance actions in aircraft records and proficiently document in ALIS.
+ Review training products for accuracy and schedule personnel for required training.
+ Assist assigned personnel in researching and requisitioning aircraft parts and components, and in determining reparability and serviceability.
+ Review aircraft and equipment records and work cards to ensure required maintenance has been performed, hourly and calendar tracked events are current, and all associated documentation has been completed.
+ Plan and coordinate wash, PMB, and paint schedules.
+ Establish a sound corrosion program, inspect completed work, and evaluate employee performance.
+ Receive cross-utilization training (CUT).
**Essential Skills**
+ Corrosion Control and Prevention expertise.
+ Experience with CDI/CDQAR, sheet metal repair, and aircraft structures.
+ O-Level Maintenance experience.
+ Current secret clearance.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ 2-3 years experience for Mechanic 1, 3-5 years experience for Mechanic 2, and 5+ years experience with CDI & CDQAR for Mechanic 3.

**Work Environment**
This position is based at the Marine Corps Air Station in Iwakuni, Japan, with a 40-hour workweek. Day shifts start at 0730, and night shifts start at 1530. The work environment involves maintaining 5th generation fighter jets and ensuring the highest standards of aircraft maintenance and safety. Appropriate attire and adherence to safety protocols are mandatory.

**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $67000.00

- If traveling from outside of Japan, your initial travel lodging and flight cost are paid for a solo traveler for hire.

- Able to participate in the company's retirement plan following 90 days of service in accordance with company policy.
- One solo employee annual round trip fare back to the United States following six months of employment. Travel is in accordance with S&K travel policy and arranged through your upline and must be preapproved. Use of accrued PTO is allowable to cover the absence, not to exceed two weeks.
