The Future Long Range Assault Aircraft (FLRAA) is the Premier Vertical Lift military program in the world. Bell's FLRAA aircraft will become the Army's primary assault aircraft for the next 30 years, sunsetting UH-60 Blackhawk helicopters and advancing the Army's assault capabilities. Core Avionics Integrated Product Team (IPT), Aircraft SysML and Data Modeling Engineer
These Aerospace Data Modeling and Architecture Engineers are responsible for design, modeling and integrating the data architecture in MBSE models in Cameo for the FLRAA aircraft program - onboard systems.
In this role you will be taking data types and putting them into CAMEO Models. Create the Data Architecture for the FLRAA Platform
In addition, you will be responsible to validate and verify system data designs and data flow throughout the digital backbone and connected aircraft systems.
What you’ll be doing as an Aircraft SysML and Data Modeling Engineer:
SysML Modeling in MagicDraw/Cameo.Developing and creating Aircraft Network and compute ConfigurationsCreating the Data Architecture for the FLRAA PlatformWorking with program IPTs and Suppliers to iterate on dataGenerate system functional requirements from stakeholder expectation.Develop architecture models and allocate requirements to hardware/software components.Validate and verify system data paths.Troubleshoot and resolve system integration/verification issues.Coordinate with Internal and External IPTs, suppliers, and peers to generate and execute projects/design plans and reviews.Manage and coordinate issues, problem reports and change requests to closure.Coordinate design changes and deliveries with Safety, Security and Certification organizations.Ensure timely delivery of systems data, systems requirements, integrated validation/verification activities, and issue resolution.Escalate issues that need additional engineering or business leadership assistance in a timely manner.We’re more than aviation experts; we’re pioneers. Bachelor’s Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science is required. Mechanical or Other Engineering degrees may be considered with applicable experience.At least 2 years of proven work experience in software design or data modeling. Candidates must be eligible to obtain Secret Security Clearance.Able to work on site in Bell's Fort Worth, TX headquarters locationAble to communicate directly with senior leadership inside and outside the company.Self-motivated and able to track and report performance to cost and schedule.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).Skills You Bring To this Role:
Experience in developing experience managing or designing within Digital Engineering and MBSEExperience with MBSE tools (eg EA Sparx, IBM Rhapsody, Magic Draw) and CM tools (eg SVN, Clearcase, git, Dimensions)Experience working with Real Time Operation Systems (RTOS) or A-653 run time environments.Experience working in an embedded SIL or Avionics Lab environment.Experience working with ARINC 429, MIL-STD-1553, CAN, and or TSN is a plusExperience with a database language like SQL, LINQ, or Json is a plusExperience with Future Airborne Capability Environment (FACE) is a plusWhat we offer you in return:
