The Opportunity

Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO) Services team are seeking an experienced Aviation Maintenance (145 / MRO) Professionals in support of technical roles for the Wedgetail In Service Support team maintaining the Wedgetail fleet into the future to meet the ever- evolving scope of Defence operations.

The Program is located at the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) base Amberley, QLD.

Your Day

As a supporting Aircraft Aerospace Worker within the Wedgetail Maintenance team, you will be required to integrate and assist licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer personnel to carry out all day-to-day maintenance / modification activities including;

Aircraft induction and tear down for maintenance / modificationAssist in aircraft next generation upgradesAssist in Aircraft inspections, standard servicing's and rectificationsAdminister the use of all ground support equipment I.e. Aircraft hydraulic rigs, Cabin air-conditioning rigs, Towing tractors etc.Administer the use of technical instructions/data and Aircraft Maintenance DocumentationAssist in all aircraft testing post maintenance / modifications.Assist in aircraft Rebuild and delivery to the Commonwealth of Australia customerReport to the assigned Maintenance Operations ManagerWork closely within a team environment

Aerospace Workers (AW) employed in this role will be at the AW2 or AW3 level, depending on the time taken to meet task authorisations requirements, level of experience in the Aviation Industry and any Aviation qualifications/training held.

Essential Experience / Qualifications

Applicants must be an Australian CitizenA high level of verbal and written communication skillsPossess an Australian Negative Vet 1 Defence security clearance or the ability to obtainCertificate IV in Aeroskills (Avionics), including theory only completedCertificate II in Aircraft Line Maintenance

Desirable Experience / Qualifications

Previous experience in an Aerospace environmentValid open drivers licence
