If you’re looking for a career that moves, join our team of professionals who are passionate about the future of transportation. **Your Opportunity** In the capacity of Electrical Engineer in Training, you will interface directly with clients and stakeholders to effectively manage project deliverables, with a focus on quality and team collaboration. You will be primarily working with our airports practice but also supporting a number of our interconnected sectors, including transportation, buildings, industrial, pipelines and water teams as required. Airport experience is essential, however a broad range of electrical engineering design experience across these other sectors is advantageous. **Your Key Responsibilities** * Performs design tasks on assigned airport projects, under the supervision of our Lead Engineer or Project Manager, including preparation of engineering calculations, specifications, drawings and reports. * Conducts basic interpretations of drawings, codes, and other similar materials. * Design, construction supervision and commissioning of airport electrical infrastructure, field electrical centers, regulators, cabling, remote kiosks, transformers, and related systems. * Design of airfield installations for airfield ground lighting, approach lighting, signage, guidance systems, floodlighting and various other aerodrome electrical, guidance and lighting systems. * Performs field work as directed by a senior engineer/ designer. * Assists with collecting data and gathering information to support design decisions. * Performs other duties as assigned by the senior engineering staff. **Your Capabilities and Credentials** * Basic understanding of Revit and AutoCad, and the use of it as a drafting/design tool. * Ability to participate and collaborate in a project team setting and to engage in creative and critical thought. * Basic understanding of local and federal design guidelines and specifications. * Basic understanding of electrical engineering concepts and the ability to effectively communicate ideas to others. * Ability to interpret sketches, drawings, building program and other similar material. * Ability to take direction, follow process and accept feedback and suggestions from senior engineers/designers. * Requires understanding of Microsoft Office Suite, Revit, AutoCAD; Prefer experience with AGI 32, Visual Lighting Software, SKM, Newforma. * Practical experience of SKM, AGI32 and AutoCAD Civil 3D to be considered an asset. **Education and Experience** * Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Engineering. * Registered EIT or eligible to become registered within 3 months. * Minimum of 0-4 years of experience. * Internship experience preferred. * Experience with interdisciplinary civil and mechanical concepts is considered an asset. Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.
