Airframe and Powerplant Specialist (Contingent)
+ Execute maintenance on various military aircraft as a Contract Field Team technician + Travel for extended periods working at various locations + Train on routing aircraft electrical wire harnesses, basic wire terminations and various other maintenance tasks + Interpret technical manuals, work cards, blueprints, wire diagrams/schematics, and engineering drawings + Maintain shop supplies and perform preventive maintenance on assigned equipment + Operate complicated shop tools and equipment as trained and assigned + Perform inventory control using logging, tagging, and organizing procedures + Maintain tool control and accountability + Adhere to company policies and safety programs + Other duties as assigned This position is contingent upon contract award. Requirements Education/Training: + High School diploma required + Associate’s Degree in management or technical/scientific discipline preferred + Current Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) License required Experience: + 3+ years of professional experience in the required task area required + Broad working knowledge of FAA regulations, aircraft maintenance and inspection requirements + Knowledgeable in documenting maintenance actions in any of the following (USAF, USN and US Army) aircraft records to include digital maintenance data systems + Familiar with the installation of aerospace fasteners, rivets, nut plates etc.​ Security: + Must be a US citizen + Ability to obtain a security clearance may be required + Successful candidates must obtain minimum favorable Tier 1 personnel security investigation IAW Department of Defense Instruction 5200.46, DoD Investigative and Adjudicative Guidance for Issuing Common Access Card (CAC)
