Airframes Mechanic III (CH53)

Location - California MD


Requirements:

Performs routine aircraft maintenance functionsMust demonstrate an operational knowledge of aircraft, aircraft systems, engines and component partsOperates aircraft towing equipment in towing operationsMaintains aircraft hydraulic systemsMust have knowledge of the proper use of hand tools in aircraft maintenanceMust be able to read and write, and interpret and comply with aircraft maintenance procedures, manuals, specifications, and directives, guides and forms used on the jobPerform carbon fiber and composite repairsCorrosion Prevention and treatmentPerforms preventive maintenance inspections on aircraft and aircraft systems and subsystemsPerforms troubleshooting, repair, modifications, corrosion control and preservation of aircraft and aircraft systems and aircraft sub-systems.Services ground support equipment. Performs preventive maintenance inspections on all ground support equipmentUses blueprints, schematics, technical drawings and manufacturers' drawings and sketches in the performance of assigned dutiesCompletes maintenance documentation accurately using OOMA, and required forms, as required by job assignment

 

Qualifications:

Six (6) years' CH/MH-53E Airframes Organizational Maintenance experience in a primary MOS from any of the following OccFlds: 6153 Aircraft Maintenance, equivalent skill designation from other services or possess valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant CertificationExperience as a Collateral Duty Inspector (CDI) on Military Aircraft or 4 years FAA Inspection Authorization (IA) experienceMust show proficiency in the use of OOMA within 90 days after assignmentHigh school diploma or equivalent Aviation Structural Mechanic Core courseAviation Structural Mechanic Organizational Level courseTire and wheel qualificationMust be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance and base access.Prior CDQAR preferredUSN/USMC experience preferred
