An exciting opportunity to join our Airline Support Team (AST) as an AST Service Representative has arisen to support a major civil engine customer in Chicago, IL. As an AST Service Representative, you will work with the Rolls-Royce Customer Team to provide operational fleet and service delivery support for our customers. You will support major or minor event investigations and support the airline in the event of an operational disruption, such as aircraft on the ground (AOG) events. You will provide timely technical and parts supply assistance and be the focal point between Rolls-Royce, the operator and the local airworthiness authority for any investigations, accidents or incidents. You will work in a Hybrid environment and be on site with the customer on a routine basis. Must be able to travel domestically up to 10%.

Key Accountabilities:

Provide support as and when required to customers, promoting timely resolution of issues by communicating through the appropriate IT systems and channelsDevelop a close working relationship with the customer at all levels to facilitate communication of key business messages to the customer and collection of customer dataIdentify potential issues with products and services to enable them to be proactively managed and monitor warranties & guarantees and airline debt, reporting any significant trendsProvide customer business forecast inputs, fleet plans and shop visit plans.Identify potential product and services sales opportunities for Rolls-Royce within the airline's businessRepresent Rolls-Royce to a customer and uphold that position in challenging circumstances

Basic Requirements:

Associate degree with 4+ years of experience in aviation, aircraft technical, powerplant engineering or aerospace, ORBachelor's degree with 2+ years of experience in aviation, aircraft technical, powerplant engineering or aerospace, ORMaster's degree, ORJD/PhD, OR6+ years of experience in aviation, aircraft technical, powerplant engineering or aerospace in lieu of degree

Preferred Requirements:

Technical and/or services background and ideally experience of working with gas turbines, their operation and functionality, plus familiarity with airline operator's line maintenance practices and regulationsKnowledge of the civil aviation industry and a good understanding of Rolls-Royce products and service contractsExperience of working in a customer facing environmentHigh degree of self-motivation, flexibility, initiative, communication skills and commitment to deliver
