Salary and Other Compensation:

The base annual salary for this position is between $[110– 130,000+] depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. Applications will be accepted until 9/25

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Architect with 11 to 14 years of experience to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Java Python Rest API Data Management Functional DQG Architect Manta and Data Catalog. This role involves designing and implementing robust data solutions that align with our companys goals and contribute to our mission of driving innovation and excellence.

Qualifications:

· Possess a strong proficiency in Java and Python for developing robust applications.

· Have extensive experience with Rest API integration and development.

· Demonstrate expertise in data management functional areas and DQG architecture.

· Be proficient in using Alation and Data Catalog tools for data discovery and management.

Responsibilities:

· Experience as a DG technical solution architect - designed and implemented Data Governance solutions for mid to large scale organization using Alation

· Work with Data Governance Practice Lead, Data Quality Lead, Metadata Lead and other team members to execute the Alation Data Governance Implementation and Integration Use Cases.

· Coordinate and guide the offshore developers for building the deliverables.

· Review/ design the future state meta-model/operating model that can be used for subsequent implementations.

· Work closely with business/application SMEs, determine strategy for onboarding business terms/ glossary, identify critical data elements.

· Strategize SOP for onboarding business glossaries followed by deduplication, rationalization and standardization of business terms.

· Design and finalize approach for business glossary capture, metadata ingestion, data lineage, integration with external tools such as Manta, Atacama.

· Design and define templates for custom metadata ingestion manually as well as using APIs.

· Define & create policies for data governance in Alation.

· Design & construct OOTB/ custom workflows using Alation.
