What is Trade Operations Team responsible for?

The Trade Operations team is responsible for the full trade workflow of any trading activity that the desk undertakes, including, Loans, Bonds and Equity. The team will also be responsible for the oversight of break and reconciliations data, corporate actions and regulatory oversight.

The Trade Operations Analyst will work alongside 2 onshore analysts and will have exposure to the relevant portfolio management teams where they will be responsible for trade support through the full life cycle of any trading the desk undertake, data analysis, working to update the proprietary systems, reconciliations as well as dealing with Counterparties and Middle Office support functions.

What are the ongoing responsibilities of Alcentra Trade Operations Specialist?

Assist with settlement issues across Loans and Bonds

Corporate Action Processing

Position and Cash reconciliation review

Counterparty and fund data set up within OMS

Security and Issuer Data Integrity

Ad hoc tax and KYC requests

Review of Investment Guideline breaches and escalation to relevant teams

Other ad hoc analysis 

What ideal qualifications, skills & experience would help someone to be successful?

4+ years of previous operations background with relevant experience

Base knowledge of bonds, loans, and other asset types

Working knowledge of Central Trade Matching Platform (CTM)

Experience in Trade Booking, Confirmation and Settlement will be an advantage

Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting or Economics

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills – both verbal and written

Attention to detail and high level of accuracy

Must be organized and able to prioritize duties and responsibilities

Proficient knowledge of Excel  

Ability to work independently

Flexible approach towards office / hybrid work arrangement (3 days minimum in-office)
