Job Description:
POSITION SUMMARY: The Aligner Technician trims acrylic orthodontic appliances to fit supplied models.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Trim orthodontic appliances (dental device that is fabricated specifically for treatment of a dental condition) according to Rx/Work Order using high speed bench mounted grinders, hand grinders, CNC machinery and other hand tools.Occasionally help build dental molds using different prototyping processes. Responsible for filling materials over dental molds or setups using brushes and spatulas. They will also use thermoform clear plastic over the mold using thermoforming machineMaintain equipment at 100% operating efficiencyProvide and maintain necessary documentation.Perform required preventive maintenance for tools.Record daily work and maintain cleanliness of work area.Previous experience working on a Quality Assurance assembly line is a plusAbility to learn quickly and perform in a fast-paced environment with strong analytical skills.Must have high ethical standards with attention to detailMust be a team player with the flexibility to assist in other areas as needed. Ability to prioritize tasks in real time and exercise judgment in a high-paced, high-stakes environment.Have clear and organized communication skills both written and verbal. Previous work experience with dental aligner buffing is a plus.Ability to read prescriptions or specifications and examine models and impressions to determine the design of dental products to be constructed.Previous dental industry experience: dental terminology is a plus.Able to produce appliances (acrylic orthodontic aligners) according to Rx/Work Instruction requirements.Team player that has a history of providing assistance and technical support.Ability to work well under pressure.Attention to detail and precision in his/her work.Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environmentHigh integrity in work productLanguage Skills:
