Looking for strong PLC experience, can connect to the PLC and trouble shoot.

1st Shift is 6am to 2pm 

2nd shift is 2pm to 10pm 

Pay is based on Experience: $38 - $50 per hour

We pay for breaks and lunch time.

Responsibilities

The Electrical Technician will be responsible for troubleshooting electrical and mechanical problems in an efficient and safe manner throughout the facility. This position is responsible for preventative and mechanical maintenance and must possess knowledge of machine repair. A successful candidate is an initiative-taking problem-solver that utilizes a strong work ethic to ensure all quality levels are met. The candidate must have strong electrical and PLC manufacturing background and possesses the ability to read and understand ladder logic and program HMIs.  Electrician is responsible for trouble shooting electrical issues with machines and working with Maintenance regarding stamping presses, annealing furnaces, and other manufacturing equipment. 

 

Makes advanced repairs and adjustments to electrical devices as well as basic mechanical repairs as necessary. Performs advanced preventative maintenance on all machinery as assigned. Successfully troubleshoots mechanical and electrical problems. Accountable for entering data into maintenance system timely and accurately. Maintains a clean and safe work area. Initiates and installs improvement projects. Performs basic failure root cause investigation. Modifies PLC and HMI programming. Make sure electrical systems and connections are safe and running at utmost efficiency Troubleshoot and coordinate electrical issues with machines and Maintenance along with fault messages  Preventive maintenance electrical aspects, preform routine maintenance on production equipment and repairs when needed Preform hardware connection issues and operate software glitches specific to presses, uncouplers, and straighteners Test electrical and electronic equipment for continuity, current voltage, and resistance Assist in checking new equipment and systems, available to repair and/or maintain older, pre-existing systems Repair giant electrical equipment (industrial fans, giant motors, etc.) Maintain logs, record labor, materials, and equipment used Responsible for calibrating and checking instruments Respond quickly to emergency situations  Abreast of the utilization of every tool may include but not limited to: drills, mechanical saws, sanders, and buffers Wire machines and electrical panels in line with prints Weld and/or operate a miller Assemble gas circuits from prints Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

 

High School Diploma or G.E.D 5+ years Electrical Maintenance experience in an industrial manufacturing setting Knowledgeable of good safety practices and quality standards

 

Preferred Qualifications

 

Advanced knowledge of electrical systems. Advanced knowledge of AC/DC motor drives, PLC and SLC controllers and motor control circuits Troubleshoot high voltage Read and measure devices, interpret blueprints, circuit diagrams, schematics, and electrical codes Good problem-solving skills, safety practices and attention to quality. Basic computer skills. Ability to perform electrical tests, read results and diagnose and repair electrical problems Understand and apply blueprints and technical diagrams Intermediate math skills Experience with mechanical systems, hydraulics, and pneumatic equipment  Journeyman certification or equivalent
