You will join our Demand Planning department based in our EMEA Headquarters in Amsterdam, The Netherlands in the position of:     

Allocation & Planning Analyst

About the Role:

The Allocation & Planning Analyst plays a critical role in ensuring product availability, optimizing product allocation, and driving the demand management process to deliver accurate forecasts for the EMEA Lifestyle organization. This role directly supports the achievement of overall business goals by bridging operational and tactical functions across product allocation and demand planning.

As the central point of contact between Sales, Sales Support, Product Marketing, and the Supply Chain organization, you will manage daily operational tasks related to allocation and product availability while contributing to long-term demand planning processes. This specialist role spans multiple areas, primarily focusing on product availability management, allocation optimization, and demand management, with an emphasis on driving alignment between supply and demand.

In this role, you will also be responsible for improving allocation and planning processes across EMEA by incorporating new technologies, business intelligence tools, and insights from various sources. Success in this role will require strong collaboration and effective communication with stakeholders across all levels of the organization.

Your Team:

The Allocation & Planning Analyst will report directly to the Manager Demand Planning EMEA and collaborate closely with a dynamic and cohesive team, including two Sales & Operations (Allocation) Analysts and two Demand Planning Analysts.

What You Will Do:

In this role, you will balance operational and tactical responsibilities to support product availability, allocation, and demand planning activities. By integrating these functions, you will play a key role in driving improvements in demand management, ensuring optimal product availability, and delivering accurate monthly demand plans for EMEA. Your key responsibilities include:

Product Allocation & Availability Management

Drive the product allocation process to meet EMEA business objectives, including manual allocation during stock shortages or controlled allocation needs.Create and maintain optimal allocation plans for selected products and drive excess stock depletion.Serve as the central point of contact for inquiries related to product availability.Align with stakeholders (Sales, Sales Support, Product Marketing) to manage order priorities.Monitor order intake vs. forecast and ensure stock availability to convert forecasted demand into sales.

Demand Planning & S&OP

Consolidate regional demand plans, and utilize historical data, market trends, and input from Sales, Product Marketing and Finance to develop accurate monthly forecasts per Business Unit for EMEA overall.Lead monthly demand review meetings, driving alignment of demand planning with business objectives and supply chain capabilities.Analyze demand variability and trends, recommending and driving actions to improve forecast accuracy and mitigate risks.Collaborate with various departments to secure aligned demand, financial and other business plans.Use insights from demand planning and allocation processes to enhance demand management and improve supply chain responsiveness.

Reporting & Data Management

Provide reporting and analysis to stakeholders, including product availability, allocation plans, forecast-order fill rate, KPIs, demand planning, and S&OP.Drive digitalization of reporting through BI tools (e.g., Qlik Sense) and ensure data accuracy in ERP and planning systems (e.g., SAP ECC and SAP IBP).Develop dashboards and value-added reports to support business analysis and decision-making, driving improvements in demand management.

Business Process Improvement

Identify and implement process improvements in allocation and demand planning workflows to enhance both product availability and demand management.Use allocation and demand planning insights to drive improvements in forecast accuracy, supply chain efficiency, and business outcomes.Participate in (cross-functional) projects to improve allocation, demand planning, and broader supply chain processes.

What You Need:

A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Operations, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field.At least 3 years of work experience in Operations or Supply Chain roles.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.Experience with ERP systems such as SAP ECC or SAP S/4HANA.Familiarity with advanced planning systems like SAP IBP (or equivalent).Strong analytical skills with a business-oriented mindset.Highly organized, self-disciplined, and skilled in time management.Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with cultural sensitivity and awareness.Assertive in handling daily responsibilities and decision-making.

What is Nice to Have:

Hands-on experience with BI tools such as Qlik Sense (or similar).A background in project management and process improvement initiatives.
