This position is responsible for managing all aspects of AlloyWorks manufacturing operations, including safety, quality, engineering, purchasing, scheduling, human resources, finance, budget planning, and sales. 

Duties & Responsibilities

Lead and manage the organization to a sustaining safety cultureLead and manage the organization to a zero-defect quality systemAbility to work with and manage through coaching people at all levels of the organization to achieve operational resultsManage and identify continuous improvement of manufacturing systemsManage raw material demand and purchasingManage production planning to achieve most efficient and productive melting schedule and balance customer demand requirementsBuild and lead a multifunctional manufacturing teamImplement and facilitate the establishment of company policies, goals, objectives and proceduresEnsure that staffing levels are adequate to meet current and projected business forecastsManage exempt and non-exempt salaries to achieve operational and budget goalsManage all aspects of AlloyWorks finances – variable, fixed, raw materials, sga, and capital planning to achieve operational and budget goalsFailure mode analysis and root cause preventative action implementationEvaluate and improve on processes in plasma cold hearth and raw material support manufacturing systemsMaintain reliable and safe manufacturing systems while improving production rates, efficiencies, yield, costs and changeoversDevelop and implement innovative solutions to manufacturing problems/issuesManage/coordinate manufacturing equipment preventative maintenance, fabrication and repairALL OTHER DUTIES AS REQUIRED

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s Degree in Material Science Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or similar requiredMaster’s in Business Management preferredMinimum 2 years or more leadership experience in manufacturing operations7 yrs. + engineering/manufacturing experienceTechnical skills in Lean Manufacturing techniques, Six Sigma, Kaizen, Process Improvement, freight and distribution, and production scheduling; Black Belt Certification preferredMust be able to prioritize multiple requests/projectsPossess ability to provide leadership, communication, organizational, analytical & problem solving25% travel requiredMust be able to support a 24/7 operation /*generated inline style */ This position requires use of information or access to production processes subject to national security controls under U.S. export control laws and regulations (including, but not limited to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR)).
