Duties and responsibilities:

Individual will lead the EMEA Alpha Conversion team.

The EMEA Alpha Conversion team manages & runs the critical migration, conversion & cutover activities necessary to bring new clients on to the State Street Alpha platform. The Alpha Conversion team works with clients to facilitate data extraction & migration process, organizing and supporting conversion events (dry run, dress rehearsal, go live) and ensuring a smooth transition to BAU working across the different business units. The individual will lead the EMEA team and be expected to coordinate the activities of those supporting conversions which would be multiple teams and located in different time zones.

Specific duties include:

Works with the Conversion Managers to coordinate and drive the deliverables of conversion planning and testing in order to meet the milestones;Drives strategic improvements to State Streets conversion capacities. Champions the use of new processes & technologies to radically move the capability forward to meet greater challenges and meet the challenge of optimisation, scalability and robustness of the conversion processes. Drives the data conversion development lifecycle and methodology including requirements analysis, solution design, client acceptance, timeline creation, implementation, unit testing, deployment tools, and maintenance;Leads issue resolution and gap closure in terms of data provided or discrepancies in data between legacy presentation and the future state model based on the feedback provided;Oversees all conversion events which includes some weekend activity and off hours;Serves as escalation contact for all conversation related activities with client and internal business units; andServes as a subject matter expert speaking to details as required while managing multiple processes.Weekend work required.Lead a global conversion team responsible for executing on implementation activitiesOccasional travel required for client or global team onsite visits

Education and experience requirement(s):

Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration/Management or related field; plus7-10 years of relevant financial industry experience

Alternate education and experience requirement(s) (if applicable):

Master’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration/Management or related field; plus3 years of relevant pre- or post-Master’s financial industry experience

Special skills, knowledge, or certification and/or licensure required for position:

Proven experience in Migration, Cutover/Conversion discipline as part of large scale transformation projects – ideally within a context of migrating from Clients legacy architecture on to a vendor or service providers systems. Demonstrated capability in the utilisation of leading technologies in the field of data mapping & migration for ultra-large scale transformations. Demonstrated capacity in challenging & optimising cutover approaches & runbooks and management thereof foe the benefit of High Value transformation projects Demonstrated high Level knowledge or experience in Capital markets including Middle Office, Securities, Bank Loans, IBOR / ABOR, Transaction Mgmt or system knowledge of CRIMS, Eagle, Eagle Star, PAM, Portia, WSO.Demonstrated excellent Communication Skills with ability to effectively run meetings and collaborate across teams and functions;Demonstrated intermediate to high level of skill in team managementProven ability to work in a high paced environment, be flexible, follow tight deadlines, organize, and prioritize work;Working knowledge of data quality measures across referential, completeness, tolerance, index and business driven data qualitative and quantitative measuresSolid ability to proactively identify potential issues and drive resolution;Experience owning initiatives / projects related to Front, Middle & Back Office Client Onboarding;Proven intermediate Microsoft Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, SharePoint and Access skills, as well as Microsoft Project, JIRA or other project management software experience; andSolid understanding of Data Warehouses and Databases including SQL.
