We have an exciting opportunity for an Alternate Contractor Program Security Officer (ACPSO) to join our Industrial Security Team in Poway, CA.
Under limited supervision, this position is responsible for administering security programs and procedures for classified and/or proprietary materials, documents, and equipment for an assigned area(s). Initiates and plans project(s) and develops the schedule to meet project goals.
Responds to a variety of inquiries of complex and diverse scope using a comprehensive knowledge of the National Industrial Security Program (NISP) 32 CFR Part 117 National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) Rule and a complete understanding of established policies, procedures, and practices for safeguarding National Security Information.
Exercises judgment within generally defined precedents and policies to analyze issues and develop solutions while providing leadership and guidance to employees, supervisors, managers, and contractors on appropriate action(s) to be taken to ensure compliance with the classified security program.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Analyze, investigate, and resolve classified security issues while providing leadership and guidance to employees, supervisors, managers, and contractors on actions(s) to be taken to ensure compliance with the classified security program. Administer and coordinate all aspects of security activities in accordance with company policies and procedures to ensure compliance with federal security regulations, directives, and manuals for safeguarding National Security Information. Establish and manage liaison with government agencies, external customers, contractors, employees, and managers. Coordinate with government agencies to obtain rulings, interpretations, and acceptable deviations for compliance with regulations.Plan, develop, and manage specialized security programs and procedures for both classified and CUI, documents and equipment.Develop, review, and implement DOD classified procedures.Assist the primary custodian for incoming and outgoing classified material.Develop, implement, and manage Standard Practices and Procedures security plans.Primarily responsible for tracking, generating, and flowing down all prime and subcontract DD Forms 254 Contract Security Classification Specification documents for prime and subcontractsInvestigate and review all security violations, preparing reports, and recommending specific preventive and corrective action to be taken.Implement visitor control procedures ensuring compliance with the 32 CFR Part 117 NISPOM Rule.Maintaining controlled area access, alarm, and combination records, as well as security container access and combination records. Respond to alarms as necessary. May act as security spokesperson to brief/debrief personnel.May provide leadership, direction, and training to less experienced staff.Maintain the strict confidentiality of sensitive information. Responsible for observing all laws, regulations, and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company.Expected to work in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices.Other duties as assigned or required.
