What is the opportunity?
Opportunity to join a fast growing business line, within RBC Wealth Management-US. The Alternative Investment Consultant will be an integral part of the alternative investment product team, responsible for sourcing, selection and delivery of hedge funds, private capital funds, real estate, commodities, and other esoteric fund investments.
What will you do?
This position will enhance the product services and drive growth in platform assets through field engagement with financial advisors. Provide education on the use of alternative investments in client portfolios and product level details.Assist with development and planning of Partner-sponsored events and participate as subject matter expert on alternative investments.Remain apprised of current industry trends and research related to alternative investments, and inform changes to product strategy.Enhance the product offering set by sourcing and developing relationships with alternative investment managers.What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
Working knowledge of alternative manager universe and be able to speak to the key benefits and risks of a wide range of alternative investment strategies.Advanced knowledge of financial markets and investment industry. Proficient with Microsoft Office and ability to adapt to changing technologySelf-directed and strong customer service orientationAbility to travelNice-to-have
Up to 10 years of financial markets experienceExperience within private wealth and/or broker-dealerAdvanced degree (MBA) or industry designations (CFA, CFP, CAIA)Securities industry licenses 7, 63 and 65, or series 66; or willingness to become licensed.What’s in it for you?
