We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Product Development Manager.

Principal Responsibilities

Be part of the Alternatives Product Development team which leads the research, analysis and development for all Alternative products created by HSBC Asset Management globally. Asset classes include Direct Lending, Infrastructure Debt, Venture Capital, Real Estate, Renewables, Private Markets and Hedge Fund of Funds.

In this role you will

Work in conjunction with the Alternative Investment teams, analyse and prepare feasibility studies and business cases for new products for submission to the relevant Product CommitteesContribute to product structuring and design: convert product ideas into product designs. Define structure features (for example: domicile, legal / regulatory structure, liquidity, investment objectives / policies and pricing). Identifying key design issues and develop options/solutions. Ensure the appropriate ESG classification and disclosures are applied to the productObtain budget approvals for projects from senior management and ensure projects are delivered in line with expected budgetsBe accountable for the planning, co-ordination, product related content (alongside the Product Lawyer) and approvals of fund prospectuses and client communicationsPresent and facilitate review and approval of new products with the relevant BoardsPerform market analysis, competitor and product research relating to both existing and new products. Stay abreast of market developments, define product positioning and target marketsPerform on-going review of existing products - identify threats/opportunities and enhancements to product range which may result from internal or external drivers. Define strategy, specifications and implementation requirementsAnalyse the tax / regulatory landscape from a fund, client and investment perspective; analyse impact on product range and lead development / changes and establish global best practice for products from a technical and governance perspective
