The Alternatives Specialist will work closely with NB’s intermediary, national accounts, and investment teams to effectively articulate, sell, and manage discussions around private markets with existing and prospective clients.

**Responsibilities**
+ Develop a deep understanding and succinctly articulate the key features of the NB private markets platform and investment strategies
+ Act as the main contact for the alternatives platform within the prescribed territory; create a transparent, seamless experience for the end client; work in concert with, alongside, and independent of the regional wholesaler, depending on the client need
+ Lead one-on-one and group presentations, conference calls, and coordinate and prepare strategy materials and white papers; update clients, prospects, and NB colleagues on alternative products and new offerings
+ Help educate Financial Advisors and their end clients in the incorporation of alternatives within their asset allocation framework and broader investment strategy and goals
+ Create a transparent, seamless experience for the end client; work in concert with, alongside, and independent of the regional wholesaler, depending on the client need
+ Frequent travel, spending 50-60%+ of the time visiting clients within the prescribed territory
**Experience**
+ 10+ years of capital markets experience in either a sales, investment, or investor relations role with a minimum of 5 years of prior experience within alternative investments
+ Knowledge of and exposure to the intermediary distribution channel
+ Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
+ Deep understanding of public and private markets, including equity, derivative, and fixed income markets; demonstrated sales, investment, and/or portfolio management acumen
+ Strong analytical and organizational skills and attention to detail; ability to prioritize projects and create and utilize a strong client management process
+ Undergraduate degree in business administration, marketing, or finance (CFA, CAIA, or MBA a plus)
+ Series 7, 63, 24, 65, or 66 (or obtained within 6 months of hire)

Compensation Details
The salary range for this role is $215,000-$265,000. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. This range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in Illinois. An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs. This job is also eligible for a discretionary bonus.
