Amazon Operations Internal Communications Specialist, CEE, Ops Internal Comms
Description Amazon is seeking a curious, intuitive, high-judgment, self-motivated and creative communications professional to create employee-facing communications for Polish, Czech and Slovakian associates and their leaders. As a specialist in the Operations Internal Communications team, you will contribute to the editorial calendar for the region, for topics related to Operational goals, safety, policies, benefits and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will insist on high standards, dive deep into details, have a strong bias for action, and easily manage competing priorities. The role would suit a detail-orientated people person with a passion for storytelling and writing. Key job responsibilities • Develop internal content with clear, tailored narratives to engage employees. • Contribute to the editorial calendars, including ongoing adjustments based on data and trends. • Write and plan for communications, particularly around Operational, Safety, Policies and benefits topics. • Proactively build and manage relationships with key Operations internal stakeholders across a range of businesses, functions and locations. • Manage and support crisis communications as needed and look around corners for risk. • Be the employee experience advocate, representing and protecting this through all strategies and decision-making. • Improve processes with new ideas and tools that are shared across team members. Basic Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism or related field - Proven experience in internal communications within a multi-national company - Excellent writing skills are a must, with the ability to formulate a clear point of view on complicated issues and create a concise and well-written narrative - Bilingual in Polish and English Preferred Qualifications - Communications experience with fulfillment centers, retail operations, logistics, and/or technology companies is preferred - Experience building strong relationships with subject matter experts and stakeholders to develop Operations, Human Resources, and Employee Relations content for a diverse, remote, and mobile workforce - Experience creating metrics to measure communication effectiveness, reach, and engagement - Experience developing and managing an annual editorial calendar with engaging content across a variety of channels - Comfortable dealing with ambiguity - Possess a strategic approach to problem solving; able to anticipate potential reputational issues - Ability to exercise high judgment and persuasion, particularly in narrow time-frames - Experience developing creative, effective approaches to reach a mobile (non-desk) and diverse audience - Project management experience is a plus - High attention to detail and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities Amazon is an equal opportunities employer.
