Summary
Provides innovative leadership to maximize the contributions of the Critical Care Team to the overall hospital performance through effective planning, including human and financial resource management, to result in quality outcomes in line with the goals of the institution. Responsible for assuring hospital compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations and accrediting organization standards associated with Critical Care Team. Responsible for 24 hours/day; 7 days/week and on site 8 hours/day, 5 days/week. Incumbents are subject to overtime and callback as required.
Responsibilities
. Planning, implementation, and marketing of services to mee the needs of both internal and external customers.
- Responsible for operational performance of the overall CCT team, including supervision, evaluations, counseling, goal-setting, training, hiring, and overall compliance to all regulatory standards.
- Support to one-up of meeting all financial management of the department, including budgeting, payroll, and expense management.
- Communication to the team of all Baptist news, including policies and procedures, following the Baptist CARES model.
- Support and learning to display continuous performance improvement within the team to ensure strong clinical care to patients.
- Provides education to patients, families, staff, students, and physicians using appropriate education training methods and materials to ensure safety, continuity of care and advancement of knowledge and skills. (Incumbents must acquire and maintain skills and knowledge to satisfy the requirements of applicable regulatory agencies and level of responsibilities.)
- Provide outreach to community members as well as peer hospitals and providers to ensure trusted relationships to provide volume growth.
Requirements, Preferences and Experience
Experience
Minimum- Three years' critical care transport experience AND at least one year of leadership/lead experience in critical care transport.
Education
Minimum- Graduation from an accredited Respiratory Therapist Program OR hold RRT as defined by the NBRC.
Preferred- Bachelor's degree or higher degree preferred.
Training
Special Skills
Preferred- Skill and proficiency in the concepts, principles and techniques of the field of Respiratory Care, including transport of specialized patients, such as neonates or OB.
Licensure
Preferred- Current licensure as RRT; BLS within 14 days of date of hire. Will be required to obtain NRP, ACLS, PALS, and Stable within 90 days. Must maintain licensure in AR, TN, and MS.
