Ambulatory Administrative Director -- Pediatric Endrocinology -- WCH-MSOB

Job Summary

Serve as the director for certain CAMC offsite departments and as the liaison with Medical Management Services' "external customers." The incumbent will be responsible for planning, directing, developing and coordinating the programs, services, and activities needed to further CAMC goal of developing and supporting our surgical specialties.

 

Responsibilities

• Build the continuum of ambulatory services necessary to meet CAMC needs. Develop, plan, direct, and organize the activities of the offsite department. • Develop departmental goals in line with CAMC corporate goals and the vision of the appropriate Boards of Directors. • Develop and propose the department's annual operating budgets. Responsible for monitoring performance, communicating results, and ensuring compliance with budget. • Promote and manage revenue enhancement and cost reduction initial the department. Responsible for analyzing productivity, patient flow, and identifying system barriers, and correcting the assure maximum productivity. • Establish policies and procedures for the department. Develop procedures and controls to promote communication and a information flow (goals, financial, etc.) along with accrediting body adherences. • Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws. • Select, interview, hire, evaluate, counsel, discipline, and discharge employees per CAMC policy and procedures. • Serve as liaison between physicians and Medical Management Services to address customer service issues. • Support the development of strong referral relationships with local doctors. • Monitor patient satisfaction of the department and develop plans to improve satisfaction. • Develop the departmental Scope of Services and maintain on an annual basis. • Serve as consultant to assess operational issues for external customers and address other concerns of the partners facilities come up. Represent the Ambulatory initiative. • Demonstrate positive customer service and co-worker relations. Serve as a positive representative of the MMS management team to our customers, including WVU, WVUPC, related and external parties.

 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Patient Group Knowledge (Only applies to positions with direct patient contact) The employee must possess/obtain (by the end of the orientation period) and demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide developmentally appropriate assessment, treatment or care as defined by the department’s identified patient ages. Specifically the employee must be able to demonstrate competency in: 1) ability to obtain and interpret information in terms of patient needs; 2) knowledge of growth and development; and 3) understanding of the range of treatment needed by the patients. Competency Statement Must demonstrate competency through an initial orientation and ongoing competency validation to independently perform tasks and additional duties as specified in the job description and the unit/department specific competency checklist. Perform work in alignment with the overall mission and strategic plan of the organization. 8. Follow organizational and departmental policies and procedures, as applicable. 9. Perform related duties as assigned.

 

Education 

• Bachelor's Degree (Required) Education: Prefer bachelor's degree in management, business, or healthcare administration Experience: 3 years in healthcare setting
