Park Nicollet is looking to hire an Ambulatory Clinic Nurse to join our Allergy & Asthma team! Join a fun and collaborative Allergy and Asthma team with the benefit of a work-life balance that a specialty clinic offers! This is an exciting role within a busy, fast-paced environment that allows a nurse to utilize their skills in a clinic setting. In this role, you will enjoy the variety of administering allergy and biologic injections, conducting breathing tests, applying and reading skin prick and intradermal testing, among other clinical tasks. The nursing team also helps support oral food and drug challenges, basic rooming tasks, patient education, and telephone triage working alongside seven allergy providers. The clinic is open Monday-Friday with shifts ranging from 7:30-4/8:30-5:00 staggered during this time on a rotating schedule.
This position would require that the team member travel to the Burnsville offsite once per week (Monday OR Wednesday) as well as travel to the Shakopee offsite once per week (Thursday) - Hours at the offsites are based on the provider schedules. The remainder of the team members' time is spent at the Saint Louis Park main site. Utilizes a systematic approach to nursing practice incorporating assessment, planning, nursing, diagnosis, implementation, and evaluation in accordance with the nurse Practice Act, recognized professional standards and Park Nicollet Health Services policy. Accountability for the quality of care delivered, recognizing the limits of knowledge and experience; addressing situations beyond the nurse’s competency; and performing to the level of education, knowledge, and skill ordinarily expected of an individual who has completed an approved professional nursing education program. Supports multiple areas within a clinic setting with strong interpersonal skill and flexibility while maintaining patient confidentiality and protecting patient rights. Promotes a safe and therapeutic environment of care and advocates for the best interests of individual patients. Resolves concerns or complaints regarding patient care or service.

Graduated from an accredited school of nursing Associate degree or diploma required Maintain a current Minnesota registered nurse’s licensure. WI licensure required where applicable. Current BLS provider status in accordance with American Heart Association (AHA) guidelines No online only courses accepted. Demonstrates knowledge of age-related growth and development necessary to provide appropriate care to the patient population served and ensure safety of patients. Possesses the qualities of strong critical thinking skills and ability to multi-task Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing, and maintain standards of clinical skills and professional ethics as established by the Nurse Practice Act Critical thinking, Excellent Interpersonal Skills, Fluent in EMR (EPIC) use Understanding of Nursing Practice Act and Scope of Practice for various rolesPreferred Qualifications:
