Ambulatory Trainer/Instructor Position Summary:

The Ambulatory Trainer/Instructor provides initial and ongoing training and support to medical office staff for the EMR (Epic), as well as operational workflows. They coordinate the BLS Program/certification for Medical Partners new hires and perform staff competency assessments as needed. The Ambulatory Trainer/Instructor also provides on-site support for onboarding of new practices and serves as a resource for annual reporting of Quality data.

 

Ambulatory Trainer/Instructor Education:

High School Diploma or equivalent is required. Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree is strongly preferred.

 

Ambulatory Trainer/Instructor License and/or certification:

Certification as a BLS Instructor is required. Must obtain Epic Credentialed Trainer status within 60 days of hire.

 

Ambulatory Trainer/Instructor Experience:

Three (3) years of experience with an electronic medical record required; Epic preferred. Three (3) years of experience working in an ambulatory healthcare setting with an in-depth knowledge of either front office processes (registration, insurance, etc) or clinical processes required. Experience using Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Powerpoint and Excel is required. Previous experience in training, instruction or adult learning a plus.

 

Ambulatory Trainer/Instructor Schedule:

Primarily day shift, Monday through Friday Evenings and weekends may be required as needed.
