AMDA College of the Performing Arts, with campuses in New York City and Hollywood, is one of the foremost post-secondary performing arts colleges in the country. AMDA offers various pathways for students to receive unparalleled performing arts education taught by world-class industry professionals, including Professional Conservatory Certificates as well as undergraduate and graduate degrees (Bachelor of Fine Arts, Bachelor of Arts, Associate of Occupational Studies, Master of Fine Arts and Master of Arts). The Site Director of LA High School Conservatory reports to the National Directors of Extension Programs. This position assists with the preparation, planning and staffing of each of the LA High School Conservatory. This position may also assist with enrollment in our office team, manage large operational teams, manage vendor and venue communications and support faculty during the run of the program. This is an exciting and challenging opportunity to spend time dedicated to cultivating and implementing performing arts programs, working with passionate young artists from all over the world, and supporting their learning experiences both inside and outside the classroom. The Site Director of LA High School Conservatory serves as the point person for all aspects of day-to-day operations for the LA program. The ideal candidate is an inspiring and highly effective leader who is caring and fully conscious of adolescent development/needs. He or She is both knowledgeable and experienced in maintaining a set of strong risk management policies. Finally, this individual is tech-savvy and fastidiously detail oriented. This is a part time position at start but will move to a full time position in the summer. Primary Responsibilities:Plan/support the preparations, program planning and staffing of the LA Summer ProgramManage the operations and communications for each aspect of the programOversee staff and student safety, both on and off campusSupervise operations staffSupport office staff in enrollment when neededSupport faculty and curriculum to ensure positive learning environmentAssure that equipment and facilities are safely and properly prepared and maintained for use by program participants and staffCommunicate with students, parents and all AMDA faculty/staff in a positive and effective mannerCreate and maintain a master schedule that is accurate and fully utilizedCoordinate with all program stakeholders to ensure that the master schedule is understood and properly implementedPlan/Support operations for all cultural and educational activities during the programs including but not limited to securing vendors and ensuring all invoices are handled by the appropriate partiesSupervise daily residential and commuter student life, including travel, dorm-life, and meals (as applicable)Provide daily reports for the National Director of Extension Programs, and additional oral/written reports as requiredLead/support the training of staff and hiringOther duties, as assigned Qualifications:Superior student/parent/staff communication skills3+ Years education staff supervision experience3+ Years of experience in residential education environmentExperience with scheduling or schedule managementExperience with google suite Risk management implementation experienceMust be able to move and/or lift 30 lbs. This position requires substantial lifting, standing and walking.Performing arts background preferredBA + High School Teacher or Administrator CertificationFirst aid/CPR certifiedAvailable to work part-time end of February through beginning of AprilAvailable to work full-time early April through beginning of August Position Information:This position is subject to a background check upon a conditional offer of employment and a reference check.Part-TimeThis position is Part-Time from February 24, 2025 – April 21, 2025.The pay rate for this position is $30 per hour.This is a fully remote position.The hours for this position are between 20 – 29 hours per week, based on department needs.Full-TimeThis position is Full-Time from April 22, 2025 – July 28, 2025.The pay rate for this position is $1,550 per week.This is a fully in-person position on our Los Angeles campus. Living on campus is required during dates of the summer program.The regular schedule for this position is 12pm – 9pm PT with an hour break 5 days a week. This schedule is subject to change based on department needs.
