This position works in the Advanced Manufacturing Engineering department, providing global manufacturing prototype hardware by utilizing various types of CNC machinery. The position will also support continuous improvements of our laboratory manufacturing processes. This individual will work in a highly motivated team environment to transform engineering designs into products that provide manufacturing solutions to our customers.

AS A CNC MACHINING TECHNICIAN, YOU WILL:

Set-up and operate precision CNC machinery to manufacture parts for customers.Perform program edits and adjust machining parameters to ensure part quality.Study specifications and drawings to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work pieces.Identify and communicate deviations from printsVerify conformance of finished work piece to specifications using various gauging methods.Keep accurate, easy-to-read records of work performed and materials used.Maintain safe work habits and care for all shop tools, machines, and equipment.Present continuous improvement ideas.Help maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety of the facility and work area.Stay current with technical changes through continuing education and training.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:

High School Diploma with a minimum of three (3) years CNC machining experience (mill and lathe), or equivalent combination of education and experience.Ability to read and understand technical drawings and diagrams Good communication skillsPhysical ability to move, lift, and/or push up to 50 lbs.Physical ability to walk/stand on concrete for the duration of the work shiftAbility to safely use a wide variety of measuring tools and various tools associated with CNC machiningTechnical problem-solving skillsHands-on experience with PC applications and the use of Microsoft Office programsLegal authorization to work in the United States - Sponsorship will not be provided for this role.

PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:

Two (2) year technical degree in Manufacturing Technologies or Engineering plus one (1) year of experience in a high-precision CNC machining environment, or equivalent combination of education and experienceCAD/CAM experienceKnowledgeable in Geometric Dimensioning and TolerancingAbility to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment

Our newly renovated Sidney campus has 1M square feet of manufacturing floor with an additional 120k square feet of leading-edge lab facilities. This location is the headquarters for our HVACR Americas business unit. Through our many years of compressor expertise, our products help bring comfort and convenience to refrigeration, commercial, industrial, and residential spaces. Approximately 1600 employees work in Sidney, who all support a multitude of business functions.
