Americas Cost Accountant


 


 

In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

Establishes and maintains standard costs; identifies changes needed to standard costs based on actual results and trends Completes monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities including preparation of manufacturing variances and reconciliation of inventory accounts Performs proactive variance analysis and communicates issues and opportunities to management Reviews and analyzes the P&L impact of absorption (Material, Labor, and Overhead) Compiles productivity and efficiency reports for the operations team and management Analyzes current and past trends in key performance indicators including areas of revenue, cost of sales, volume / price / mix, inventory, and capital expenditures Assists the sales organization in projecting gross margins for new products and projects Analyzes excess and obsolete inventory and ensures appropriate handling Partners with the operations team to conduct physical inventory and/or cycle counting processes, including reconciliation and recording
    Who You Are: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Exceptional organization skills and focused attention to detail with high standards for quality and accuracy of work product Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to synthesize complex information succinctly

Collaborative demeanor with a track record of forming relationships and partnering 
 


    For This Role, You Will Need: 3+ years of relevant cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment Demonstrated experience in computerized accounting systems and knowledge of relevant computer technology
  Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart: University degree in Finance or Accounting required CPA / CPC qualification preferred
