We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to discover, develop, and evaluate new product ideas, as well as enhancements to existing products or strategic product extensions. This role involves translating research findings into usable and marketable products. The ideal candidate will also assess new product ideas to determine their potential to meet customer needs and drive revenue growth and market share.

Accountabilities:

Designs, validates, and brings new products to market.

Specifies precise new product functional requirements; designs, tests and integrates components to produce final designs; and evaluates the design's overall effectiveness, cost, reliability, and safety.

Designs, develops, executes, and evaluates fitness-for-use testing, product specifications, and process validation plans; creates and reviews material part specifications and bills of materials.

Collaborates with internal manufacturing partners, contract manufacturers, designers, and product specialists to optimize designs for manufacturability.

Utilizes CAD (Computer Aided Design) or CAE (Computer Aided Engineering) systems to model new designs and produce detailed engineering drawings.

Respond to more complex technical questions regarding the organization’s product, system or service.

Pre-sales activities include analyzing customer’s technical needs and suggesting solutions.

Qualifications:

2 to 6 years of experience in the relevant field, with a solid foundation in the discipline and a growing ability to apply higher-level knowledge and skills.Must be able and willing to travel to the UK for training during the first several months of the role, with travel expected for two-week periods at a time.Ability to solve a variety of problems and analyze possible solutions using standard procedures and technical expertise.A clear understanding of key business drivers and the ability to apply this knowledge to accomplish work effectively.Requires a broad range of knowledge and experience in the discipline, with a focus on continuous skill development and capacity building.Ability to work within established guidelines and policies to accomplish operational tasks within a team setting.Capable of providing informal guidance and mentorship to new team members.Ability to explain complex information in simple terms, particularly in routine or straightforward situations.Ability to evaluate and utilize suitable methods, tools, and processes to improve work quality and efficiency.Contributes to the sharing of best practices and process improvements within the team.
