DuPont Water Solutions (DWS), a $1.5B global business, focused on solving global challenges in water purification, conservation, and reuse as well as purification solutions throughout the life sciences industries. DWS serves its thousands of customers in diverse markets through three major market segments, Industrial Water & Energy, Drinking Water & Desalination, and Life Science & Specialties.

Reporting to the Global Marketing Leader in the DuPont Water Solutions business, the Americas Regional Marketing Manager (RMM) will be responsible for setting and leading the implementation of the regional market strategy for the Drinking Water & Desalination market segment, tackling some of the hardest to treat water challenges, identifying new business models, and creating a collaborative cross-functional and cross-regional growth mindset throughout the organization.
As a local champion of strategic marketing functional competencies, the RMM will develop the deep understanding of regional market trends, competitive landscape, and needs based customer segmentation by market as well as outline the regional implementation and communication plans. The RMM will be accountable for the long-term growth of the market segment and for supporting the commercial team with regional insights to facilitate accurate demand planning, pricing, and customer targeting at the segment-technology level. The ideal candidate is expected to personally demonstrate and cultivate a strong external focus and proactively develop close working relationships with local key customers and partners within the market segments that they support.
The RMM will also be giving the opportunity to be responsible for developing a global where to play/how to win marketing strategy for a global market segment and learn how to write formal marketing plans. They will also lead a global market segment team in conjunction with a technical lead to align on action plans around innovations, product launches, and application case studies.
This is not a marketing communications role.
Please note our teams do work a hybrid schedule which is 3 days onsite and 2 days remote. Candidates should live within a commutable distance to one of our water offices or technical centers around the world. Preferred locations are Wilmington, DE USA, Edina, MN USA, and Midland, MI USA
Regional Responsibilities:
Develop regional execution plans that drive regional sales and profitable growth that are aligned with global market strategies. Monitor active sales pipeline at the customer level to have clarity on how to drive both short- and long-term growth as well as innovation strategies.Develop marketing strategies and execution plans for pricing and route to market, aligned with global market segment strategies, and optimized for regional customer needs-based segmentation. Collaborate with regional sales and technology leadership to ensure resources are effectively prioritized and aligned with market segment-technology objectives. Evaluate customer needs and preferences to identify market trends, new markets, and new innovations. Drive execution of innovation launches and own resulting regional growth performance.Leverage industry knowledge and market research to identify opportunities for regional expansion and providing the sales team targeted customer lists and customer profiles.Analyze competitor activities and market trends to ensure DWS stays aware of the evolving landscape and of new markets for future growth.Global Responsibilities:
Develop/update the where to play/how to win segment market strategies that tie into the DWS business strategy. Develop and document segment marketing plans.Set global and regional target pricing working jointly with fellow RMMs and product management.Partner with marketing communications to develop & implement appropriate communication strategies, including editorials, press releases, webinars, other digital and traditional media, as well as thought leadership where applicable, for globally led market segment. Own website content and updates for globally led market segment to be implemented by marketing communications. This is not a marketing communications role.Develop innovation pipeline for globally led market segment partnering with research and development teams. Act as the project leader and advance critical innovation projects through the stage gate process creating robust business cases and driving programs against externally focused milestones. Develop robust launch packages. Analyze competitor activities and market trends to ensure DWS stays aware of the evolving landscape.Qualifications:
Demonstrated business and financial acumen with ability to collect and analyze data and communicate insights effectively. Ability to quickly understand unfamiliar markets through primary research and analysis and develop strategic plans to address those markets.A highly motivated and results-driven professional with excellent interpersonal skills. A change agent who conveys a sense of urgency and drives issues to closure.Demonstrated success in working in diverse, cross functional teams.Solid organization skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills. Strong project management expertise.
