The Solutions and Services Engineer delivers professional services of our Connexo Suite of Applications part our Advanced Metering Infrastructure solution to our customers using a structured services delivery project lifecycle to ensure quality in our delivery. While working closely with the technical support team, this role delivers services requested by our customers to enhance their AMI solution functionalities. Ability to travel approximately 10%.
Key Responsibilities
• Works with customer requirements to propose technical solutions
• Acts as primary technical resource that collaborates with the client throughout the project and partners with the customer to develop requirements and propose technical solutions
• Performs customer system integration planning and implementation
• Ensures network equipment meets customer technical specifications
• Ensures software configurations meet customer technical requirements
• Establishes and monitors system performance, recognizing adverse trends and taking necessary preventative and corrective actions during the implementation
• Performs OTA (Over the Air) devices reconfiguration to enhance system functionality or to resolve device configuration issues
• Develops customized tools and scripts to assist in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues in a timely manner with high quality.
• Works closely with the Level 3 support team to resolve complex issues related to device communications and configuration
• Supports creation of standard best practice procedures for technical elements of the system that are effective and repeatable

• 1+ years of experience in customer service or professional services working with customers
• 2+ years of experience in working with solutions involving software applications
• 2+ Exposure to debugging and troubleshooting software applications
• 2+ Programming background with exposure to Python, Perl or similar programming languages
• 2+ years of experience with Oracle or/and MySQL databases, and Microsoft Windows Server
WE VALUE
• Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, Computer Science, or Information Systems
• Experience in business process definition and design to meet overall business objectives.
• Experience with .NET framework and MultiSpeak systems integration preferred
• Microsoft SQL Server experience
• Experience with electricity/gas/water metering and/or electric utilities a plus but not required
• Experience with process automation for software applications
