The purpose of this role in Global Payments is to support the Compliance function to stay updated and compliant with all relevant regulations, through a framework of systems and controls, and to promote a compliance culture across the business.

Your duties and responsibilities:
Conducting Periodic Reviews on customer accounts to identify missing or invalid Due DiligenceUpdating Customer Due Diligence (CDD) and Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) records accordingly;Conducting analysis and investigations during daily, weekly and monthly AML transaction monitoringContacting customers during periodic reviews and Transaction MonitoringOngoing screening of clients for sanctions, PEP and Adverse news alertsRaising Internal Suspicious Transactions and/or Activity Reporting to MLRO (SAR/STRs)Identifying gaps during daily procedures and processes, and escalating to MLRO accordinglyAssisting the MLRO/CO with compiling and submission of annual Regulatory reporting, and internal and external Audit examinations on GPMAssisting in the Compliance Monitoring Programme (CMP) controls, as requiredPreparing and sending responses to Requests for Information from the Financial Intelligence Analysis Unit (FIAU) authorities in MaltaProviding consultancy to the Malta business in MLRO/CO's absence, for issues encountered with complex corporate structuresIn charge of maintaining and updating the Special Category Clients (SCCs) portfolioWorking closely with the MLRO to identify better controls for effective AML/CFT monitoringApproving low-risk customer periodic reviews and transaction analysis conducted by CSOTraining the CSO on procedures, processes and systemsSecretary for Malta Compliance and Risk, and Safeguarding CommitteeDeveloping the Compliance Monitoring Programme and Risk Register for Malta together with Compliance Officer (Manager)Second-line compliance monitoring checks, such as Onboarding sample checks and Corporate GovernanceYour compentencies/education:
