AMS Account Manager
Summary

The account manager position is responsible for after-market sales within Enerflex ‘s AMS division – specifically focusing on the Gas Compression (GC) portion of our industry. The role focuses on but is not limited to retrofits, service labor and merchandise, parts sales, commissioning of equipment and preventive maintenance programs within the Midstream/Upstream customer segment.
The role requires a high degree of influencing and collaboration across both internal and external customers, and collaboration across geographies. 

Principle Responsibilities and Duties AMS product line (your primary AMS Product line focus – i.e., gas compression or process/refrigeration) to meet revenue and profitability goals. Identify and develop new potential customers from initial contact through job execution and/or the continued management of services and maintenance contracts. Develop new sales prospect lists by researching business activity through potential customer contacts and industry groups. Perform regular sales calls, in-person, targeting assigned customers.  Keep track (digitally) of account activities, generate reports, and manage business transactions with customers while communicating progress with Sales Manager and Branch operational staff. Work well and collaborate with internal customers including Engineering, Retrofit, Procurement and Operations. Participate in weekly sales and departmental meetings and training. Advise and assist the operations group and other internal team members in the maintenance and enhancement of on-going customer activities and development. Manage a broad base of high-tech customer accounts to ensure customer satisfaction and act as a liaison between the customers and technical staff. Manage existing customers for further development and retention. Identify the technical requirements of the customers and collaborate with teammates ensure the customer requirements are appropriately defined, addressed, estimated, and quoted. Perform estimates, budgets, and job scopes in proposal and approval framework to meet the needs of the customer. Additionally, provide essential information to internal teammates for order fulfillment through the operations group. Provide support for promotional events to include trade shows, conferences, exhibits and demonstrations for local or national events. Attend industry and regional events as required to promote after-market services and learn about industry, project, and operational developments. Additionally, participate in educational activities for customers such as lectures, training, and demonstrations. Manage customer relationships, sometime after-hours, for further market-share development and retention. Assist in developing marketing materials which address the companies service resources and capabilities. Qualifications Minimum of 2 - 4 years of proven success in business within Gas compression/Gas processing industry.  Qualified experience may fall in one of more of the following categories:  Outside Sales, Business Development, Gas Compression Industry, Field Compression Operations Computer literacy including competency related to MS-Windows-based applications and CRM software. Entrepreneurial with high energy and drive for success High accountability by nature, proven overall dependability, reliability, and responsibility. Seeks understanding and possesses excellent listening skills. Established understanding of contracts and commercial negotiation skills Familiar with gas compression products and performance traits High focus on ethical behavior Willing to continuously and proactively collaborate, share, and seek guidance through open dialogue. Communication skills including interpreting and communicating specifications and information. Experience dealing with field management is a plus. Time management skills including multi-tasking competing priorities as needed. Ability to generate alternative solutions. Ability to proactively manage multiple accounts and active business deals. Ability to effectively manage and support internal administrative responsibilities as it relates to the lifecycle of a project.

 

Working Conditions

Combination of field and general office environments with tasks requiring a high degree of time sensitivity Domestic travel may be required. Frequently required to work non-business hours including evenings and weekends.
