Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) seeks an Experienced Analysis, Integration and Test (AIT) Engineer to join our F/A-18E/F and E/A-18G Mission Systems team in Berkeley, MO.
This individual will be responsible for the integration of new and upgraded subsystems within the weapon system’s avionics suite enabling new and improved future capabilities in the Super Hornet and Growler fleet.
In addition to system design and test, this individual will coordinate schedule and technical issues with internal stakeholders and external customers. This also includes helping to mentor and lead a team of entry level integration engineers.

Position Responsibilities:
Works with internal stakeholders and external customers to coordinate execution of ongoing hardware-software integration efforts in a fast-paced Agile environment, often with changing requirementsResponsible for communication across teams as well as multiple engineering disciplines and program leadershipReceives customer requests and analyzes them with consideration for contractual and technical impacts and translates into actionable requirementsMonitors internal and external supplier performance to ensure system integration and compliance with requirementsProvides support and solves problems concerning fielded hardware and software over the entire product lifecycleProvides technical leadership and guides on-the-job training for entry level engineersReinforces a culture of proactive technical oversight, risk management and rapid issue resolution, providing alternative paths for issue resolution and an open dialogue on technical issuesSupports productivity improvements through the use of Lean principles as well as sharing best practices and lessons learnedUnderstands and works with F/A-18 functional counterparts (software and hardware teams, SEIT, BGS) to ensure handoffs are clearly defined to deliver products that meet requirements and are delivered on schedule and within costThis position is expected to be 100% onsite.
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor's, Master's or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistryExperience with military avionics technology5+ years of experience leading or managing projects or teams with a Bachelor’s OR 3+ years with a MastersExperience in translating Customer requirements to System requirements or System requirements to Subsystem requirementsPreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
9 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experienceStrong oral and written communication skillsExperience in developing or integrating Mission Systems for military aircraftExperience with electronic system design, code and testExperience in developing and executing test plans and test casesExperience with an OMS implementationExperience with Multi-Level Security (MLS) implementationExperience using Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) processFamiliarity with tools such as Jira and ConfluenceCompleted security clearance background investigation within the past 5 yearsTypical Education & Experience:
Experienced (Level 3): Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Summary pay range:
Experienced (Level 3): $96,050 – $129,950
