JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Responsible for the structural integrity of the Blades, Rotors, and Transmission/Drive Systems on the next generation of vertical lift aircraft.
* Typical tasks include performing conceptual/preliminary/detailed structural analysis using classical methods and finite element software
* Calculate Margin of Safety and conduct fatigue analysis to determine component retirement time of metallic and composite structures
* Conduct modal/buckling/crack propagation/thermal analysis, collaborate with Design, Materials & Process, and Test Engineers
* Create structural substantiation reports to support drawing release and certification efforts.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
* Must be a US Citizen
* 5 years experience
* Experience in performing structural FEA in ANSYS
* Have a strong aptitude for troubleshooting and problem solving
* Have a robust understanding of loading and dynamics in mechanical assemblies
* Must be highly competitive and motivated to take ownership of commitments and meet objectives
* Must be capable of managing complex tasks and drive them to successful outcomes
* Must possess excellent communication and technical writing skills.
