POSITION SUMMARY:

The Analyst, Accounts Payable is responsible to ensure accounts payable transactions and payments, are processed accurately and timely into the accounting ledger. H/She will work to maintain and improve the process efficiency in all Accounts Payable functions of the department. Responsible for ensuring the smooth daily function of the payables process. He/ She will engage in customer service/relationships to ensure the long-term stability of the team to meet the deliverables and procedure results.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Key Roles & Responsibilities

Ensures that supplier invoices are in line with purchase orders and contracts and verifies documents are properly authorized by the relevant departmentResponsible for monitoring all payments recorded accurately in accordance with payment schedule and vendor payment termsEnsures all statements are reconciled monthly and queries dealt with promptly. Monitors and takes action to overdue or disputed invoicesAssists to prepare monthly vendor reportsWorks with the Business units in handling matters with the vendors on payment disbursementsParticipates in the improvement of activities/processes within Accounts Payable as appropriate to achieve best practiceMaintains and keeps up to day records, physical and digital related to the Accounts PayableWorks with Supervisors and the Supply Chain department to ensure accurate data processing and reconciliation

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS:

Service standards are consistent with department’s expectationsAll Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are reviewed, updated and communicated to the team effectivelyData is processed accurately and within Finance’s monthly timelineConstructive relationships with team members, customers and vendors are builtEnsures the department is operating in the most efficient manner

QUALIFICATIONS:

Requirements & Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Accounting or equivalent2-3 years of relevant accounting experience more preferably in hospitality, retail, and construction industriesSolid understanding of general accounting principlesGood command of English languageProficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word, with the experiences in ERP applications and good working knowledge of accounting software systems
