What Benefits contributes to Cardinal Health

Benefits is responsible for overseeing the design, development, implementation and administration of benefits plans. Ensures total benefits package is competitive with the market and meets company objectives maintaining legal compliance. Oversees activity and coordination with all third party vendors.

Leverages benefit best practices and benchmarking in wellness, work/life, health & welfare, and/or financial plans to design and implement competitive benefit programs.Demonstrates knowledge of current benefits regulatory environment, including ERISA, IRS, DOL and SOX, current market and benefits legislation trends and demographic requirements to ensure plan compliance and competitiveness.Creates communication materials, such as presentations and information packages, to keep employees and management updated on plan changes and amendments.Leverages benefit best practices and benchmarking in wellness, work/life, health & welfare, and/or financial plans to assess and operationalize competitive benefit programs.Demonstrates knowledge of proxy and other external reporting requirements.Participates in mergers and acquisition activities in order to integrate newly acquired company employees into Cardinal Health's benefits programs.

Internal Qualifications

1-2 years of relevant experience, preferredBachelor's degree in related field, or equivalent work experience, preferredHas been in current role (B3, B4 or P1) for 1 year minimumLast Performance Rating of 3.0/ MeetsNo active DAs, PIPs or in any prescriptive period

External Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in the related fieldMinimum 2 years experience handling statutory benefits for a big headcount companyBenefits experience in a BPO or Shared Services company a plusProficient with MS Excel, & OutlookExperience using ticketing tools (ServiceNow....) an advantageExperience in handling New Hire information/ endorsements is a plus
