What Collections contributes to Cardinal Health

Finance oversees the accounting, tax, financial plans and policies of the organization, establishes and maintains fiscal controls, prepares and interprets financial reports, oversees financial systems and safeguards the organization's assets.

Collections is responsible for the collection of outstanding accounts receivable. This includes dispute research, developing payment plans with customers, and building relationships of trust with customers and internal business partners.

Qualifications

3-5 years of experience, preferredBachelor's degree in related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred

Responsibilities

Monitor and manage the full accounts receivable cycle, including billing, collections, cash applications, and reconciliations.Generate and distribute invoices and account statements in a timely and accurate manner.Perform credit checks and evaluate customer creditworthiness.Investigate discrepancies by coordinating with internal business partners.Contact customers regarding outstanding payments and negotiate payment arrangements.Research and resolve discrepancies related to billing or payments.Maintain detailed records of customer communications and payment status.Collaborate with the sales and customer service teams to resolve invoice disputes and ensure accurate billing.Prepare weekly and monthly ageing reports and provide status updates to management.Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in the A/R process.Assist with month-end closing activities and audits.Responsible for special projects as requested by management and other duties/ responsibilities as assigned to meet the ongoing needs of the organization.
