What we’re looking for
The Commercial Credit Analyst is responsible for assisting in the monitoring and management of the Bank’s commercial portfolio. The analyst will be involved in three primary areas:
Supporting underwriting of new loans and renewals by reviewing and approving appraisals, environmental reports, flood determinations and other due diligence items in conjunction with TMCC Dealer Lending and TFSB / MFS Sales. The analyst will need to communicate with multiple groups such as MFS and TFSB Sales, TMCC Dealer Lending, TFSB Legal, and 3rd party vendors, in the timing of the review of the reports.
The Commercial Credit Analyst will be required to evaluate credit criteria, loan structures, covenants, and collateral to support the decisioning process on loan requests.
Portfolio Management responsibilities include the monitoring and tracking of the Bank’s reporting and financial covenants in addition to the preparation of annual reviews of the Bank’s non-floorplan loans. The analyst will need to coordinate with TSFB and MFS Sales to obtain updated financial documentation and determine an appropriate risk rating based off the analysis. The analyst will also assist in the preparation of presentations on the commercial portfolio which will be shared with the TFSB Risk department and Credit Committee.
Portfolio Analytics responsibilities include the update and tracking of multiple monthly reports including but not limited to new origination, policy exceptions, and risk rating trends. Data from these reports will be used to generate presentations to the Bank’s Credit Committee and Board Risk Committee. Coordination with TFSB Sales and TMCC Dealer Lending will be required to track originations.
Interaction with Internal Controls and Compliance in conjunction primarily with the appraisal process as required.
What you’ll be doing
• Review and approval of Real Estate Appraisals and interaction with internal and external attorneys and/or appraisers to determine the adequacy and acceptability of appraisals.
• Review and approval of Environmental Site Assessments and interaction with internal and external attorneys and/or environmental service providers to determine the adequacy and acceptability of Environmental Site Assessments.
• Monitor the Bank’s portfolio including tracking compliance of all reporting and financial covenants, maintenance of the Bank’s online credit files, preparation of TFSB annual reviews, tracking of flood insurance status, and appraisal value tracking.
• Track and monitor the expiration of approvals, upcoming maturities, the origination of new loans, policy exceptions, and risk ratings.
• Evaluate credit requests to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and safety and soundness principles and prepare a summary for the appropriate approval authority.
Qualifications/ What you bring
• Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent experience
• Commercial credit experience including real estate lending
• Experience reviewing commercial appraisals
• Experience underwriting new loans and renewals
• Advanced proficiency in Excel
Added bonus if you have
• 5+ years of commercial credit experience including real estate lending and commercial appraisals
• Tableau, PowerBI or other visualization tools experience
