**Summary**
Incumbents apply in-depth knowledge in a specific area of specialization. Work is performed within established professional standards and practices.
Works on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of identifiable factors and a considerable degree of judgement.
Erroneous decisions or failure to achieve results may have a negative impact on the division’s/department’s operations, schedules, and/or performance goals.
Works under minimum Supervision. Seeks approval from others on matters outside of job/role scope.
Receives instruction on specific assignment objectives and possible solutions.
Unusual problems are solved jointly with manager. Work is reviewed for application of sound technical judgment.
May lead a work group or project team consisting of technical and support staff.
Builds internal and external relationships, with emphasis on those that facilitate the achievement of job/role accountabilities, such as relationships with key suppliers, customers and internal service.
**Detailed Description**
**Performs tasks such as, but not limited to, the following:**
+ Validate, evaluate and set up the component by component level, commodity level in the component classification management tool globally.
+ Release the information into the Quality specification portal. Enable the downstream activities such as Quoting, purchasing, inspection and etc.
+ Manage the data change requests globally.
+ Review and construct the manufacturer part number from the component datasheets and drawings.
+ Provide alternate recommendations.
+ Provide BOM health analysis included Life cycle analysis, parametric analysis, preferred supplier coverage analysis, Rohs verification, lead time analysis, sourcing status summary, component downsizing summary and etc.
+ Process the supplier part change notification. Enable timely communication to customers.
**Knowledge/Skills/Competencies**
+ Good system skill on Microsoft Excel, Microsoft power point, Browser.
+ Equip with Industrial standard knowledges included Aerospace & defense, Automotive, HealthTech.
+ Good communication skill both in spoken and written
+ Good organization skill and the time management skill.
+ Good trouble shooting skill and multitasking skill.
**Typical Experience**
+ Minimumly 5 years of applicable experiences.
+ Knowledges and skills on the components level, commodity level and industry level/standard such as aerospace & defense, automotive, HealthTech.
+ Ability to read the components’ datasheet and drawing.
+ Ability to evaluate and analyze the data from the datasheets and drawings.
+ Ability to read and interpret supplier document such as part change notification.
+ Experiences in alternate recommendation and ability to find the equivalent based on the datasheets and drawings.
+ Knowledges and awareness of the printed circuit boards, manufacturing processes, testing processes and supply chain processes.
+ Knowledge of industry and quality standards for incoming materials.
+ Ability to evaluate materials, gather and analyse data and determine root cause of problems.
+ Ability to effectively communicate with a variety of internal and external customers
