The team you will be a part of

The Engineering team discovers, develops and evaluates new product ideas, enhancements, or strategic product extensions, and translates research discoveries into usable and marketable products. Leads, plans and tracks all phases of the product life cycle, from inception to introduction into the marketplace. Coordinates with various functions to ensure successful product development and implementation.

This role in summary

Responsible for all CPG (Consumer Product Group) chemical product development, performance evaluation and MOB of products.  Requires a strong knowledge of chemistry and biology applications to appliance cleaning and performance products.

Your responsibilities will include

Develop clean products with suppliers that deliver the claims specified by the CPG marketing and sales teams.

Maintain the cleaning product line for any issues that may arise.

Evaluate and verify all product claims for Affresh and Swash products

Support product packaging requirements

Maintain a current knowledge of of the competitor chemical products

Work closely with Procurement  to have the best products available at the best price

Work seamlessly with all CPG engineering members

Develop and maintain CPG chemical safety

Responsible for lab testing and product assessments

Responsible for GLS/Biofilm testing of new washer models

Participate in AHAM, ASTM and IEC laundry standards committee meetings

 

Minimum requirements

 This role requires at minimum a BS or BA in chemical engineering or chemistry, advanced degree preferred.

English level advanced 

An ability to apply chemical/biological principles to consumer chemical products.

Must be willing to develop a strong chemistry application toolbox.

Preferred skills and experiences

A background in washers, dishwashers, refrigerator will be helpful

Performance lab experience will need to be developed 

Fundamentals of detergents, softeners and cleaning products

Understanding of performance standards will be required

Background in textiles would be helpful
