The team you will be a part of

The Performance  Engineer - Analyst position will be located on the Dryer Cycle Design Team, within the Performance Subsystem team - Laundry. The Engineer will be responsible for the delivery of algorithms, logic, and cycle designs that enable the compliance with global requirements, and integrate seamlessly with the component modules for new and existing laundry products.

This role in summary

This engineer will work to develop, integrate, and execute algorithms in conjunction with technology to deliver consumer relevant product attribute performance for tumble dryers. This global role offers endless opportunities to work on all types of global designs and provides numerous experiences to help you learn and grow in your career.

 

Your responsibilities will include

Dry Systems algorithm, logic and cycle design  development for tumble dryers

Optimize appliance performance through module development and parameterization

Support the module technology roadmaps, including complexity reduction, attribute requirements, and cost & quality initiatives

Understand the critical module parameters that contribute to the system level attribute requirements (functional decomposition)

Understanding of physics, with a key focus on thermodynamics and fluid dynamics that govern the dry system

Support new product design from concept development to execution

Develop multiple concepts and utilize Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA), design verification plans (DVP), and risk management tools to assist in decision performance attributes

Develop new, and improve upon existing, test methodologies and test plans for performance verification and validation

Effectively develop and capture knowledge required to deliver module level excellence

Support of marketing claims development and validation

Support Regulatory product compliance for the different regions

Appliance / Consumer Goods Industry Interest. Consumer satisfaction driven.

 

 

Minimum requirements

B.S. in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronic, Aeronautical, Electronics, Physics, Chemical Engineering.

3+ years in Appliance / Consumer Goods Industry Experience or relevant Industry.

Ability to apply fundamental physics to design and analyze fluid and thermal systems.

Strong sense of accountability and personal commitment.

Critical thinking, issue follow-up and resolution skills
