Analyst, Feeds Content Operations
Job Description Job Purpose ICE Data Services (IDS), a leading provider of financial market data, has an opening in the Feeds Content Operations Team, which supports the real-time and historical Feeds business vertical. The team’s mission is to help provide excellent service and data quality through robust data operations processes, while continually enhancing our clients’ experience with market data on ICE Feeds products. Individuals in the team acquire and maintain a detailed understanding of market data management processes which are relevant for support of the Feeds business. Team functions include a broad variety of content support functions including reference data management, interpretation and application of corporate action events, contributor data maintenance, quality assurance checks, second-level client content query support, and impact analysis for various content changes on Feeds products. The team functions 24 hours per day, 5.5 days a week. Responsibilities Execute Data Quality Validation - Ensure the highest level of content quality through creation and execution of recurring and timely data quality process checks. Process checks cover a variety of real-time and reference data domains. Reference Data Collection and Support - Collect, apply, and confirm accuracy of reference data for a variety of exchange traded and OTC cross asset class instruments, including Equities, Derivatives, and Fixed Income. 2nd Level Client Content Query Support - Take ownership of issues raised by front line Client Service Team, to analyze, provide Root Cause Analysis, and resolve content related issues while providing regular and timely updates. Coordinate resolution with Business Analyst and Development teams as required. Change Analysis and Support - Track change notifications, both internal and external, to analyze data impact to various Feeds products. For some products, the team also maintains the configurations associated with the changes, including further client notifications. Content Coverage Support - manage content coverage requests from various parts of the business, including the Sales cycle. The team provides clear and timely feedback to help manage content coverage requests for both new prospects and existing clients, including daily dashboard progress reports. Proactive Improvements - Identify areas for data quality improvement, including suggestions for optimum sources of data. Includes interactions with exchanges and other contributed data providers, and liaising with stake holders to approve and progress suggested changes. Reporting and Communication - The team builds and provides a variety of reports, including various metrics on coverage, queries, and data quality. Transparency and collaboration underpin all team communications. Trend Analysis - analyze metrics from various reports to identify trends, and make process and automation improvement recommendations. Advocate recommendations to managers and stakeholders to drive continual improvement. Content Testing - Support Development, QA, and BA Teams on a variety of content quality tests. Tests include a variety of content scenarios including real-time and reference data bug fixes, content onboarding, content enhancements, and product configuration changes. Knowledge and Experience Required Basic Qualifications Strong Work ethic Eagerness to learn and collaborate with others Attention to detail, especially with respect to data processing and data quality Ability to think and work both independently and within a team environment Excellent verbal and written English language skills Knowledge of financial market concepts and instruments, covering a variety of asset types including equities, derivatives, and fixed income Willingness to work in rotational shifts including night shifts Ability to work in a fast paced, high pressured, fluid environment Master’s degree in finance line with relevant financial services industry experience Comfortable working with large datasets Strong working knowledge of Excel and basic competence in other MS Office applications Working knowledge of SQL and Excel Macro creation Good analytical, technical and problem solving skills 4–6-year experience working with financial market data in a similar role Preferred Qualifications Knowledge on Bloomberg and Thomson Reuters / Refinitiv products Basic experience using UNIX/LINUX, especially GREP Schedule This role offers work from home flexibility of one day per week.
