This position is responsible for providing accounting, finance, and data support to the Shore Excursions team. Responsibilities include but are not limited to, monthly accruals, commission calculations, auditing and processing invoices, driving costs savings, and assistance with data collection and analysis of over $200M to tour operators. 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSABILITIES: 

Performs weekly queries and performs quality assurance audits.  This could include, but is not limited to, inventory and/or pricing discrepancies, online descriptions, images and video, tour operator restrictions, tour operator invoices.  

Manages pricing, inventory, and promotions in multiple systems. 

Updates guest bookings by adding Shore Excursions based on cross promotions. 

Assists in the preparation of monthly accruals, monthly journal entries, and other financial functions.  

Participates in ad hoc projects to maximize revenue and reduce cost in the shore excursions. 

Tracks and consolidates monthly commissions for Private Journey teams based on sales goals established for customized excursions. 

Provides support to tour operators regarding invoices and/or payment inquiries, system access, and any other query impacting the financial area of the tour operators. 

Obtains and reviews banking instructions for new or inactive vendors and submits to Accounts Payable; submits bank account changes for existing vendors to Accounts Payable. 

Completes month-end journal entries such as COGS, cost accruals, prepaid expenses, etc.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS: 

Strong Excel skills required (ability to use HLOOKUP, SUMIF, Pivot Tables).  

Attention to details. 

Ability to analyze trends and pricing/costing data. 

Knowledge of Hyperion Essbase, JD Edwards World, Oracle Database, SQL is a plus. 

Written and oral communication skills and be able to work effectively with all levels of management, staff, and vendors. 

Ability to work in fast-paced environment with multiple projects and priorities. 

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION 

Bachelor’s degree 

1-3 years of experience in Global Tour Operations and/or planning or supporting tour program development not required, but desirable. 

Shipboard experience not required, but desirable.
