Financial Analyst I
Summary Job Description
Compiles and analyzes financial information for the organization. Creates and analyzes monthly, quarterly, and annual reports and ensures financial information has been recorded accurately. Records journal entries, performs variance analysis and account reconciliations. Reports to Accounting Supervisor.
Primary Duties/Responsibilities
Evaluates trends, identifies and investigates unusual or unexpected account variancesPrepares management ad hoc reporting and analysis as neededReconciles transactions by comparing and correcting dataIdentifies financial variances by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecastsEnsures general ledger accounts are maintained in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)Identifies opportunities for performance improvement across the organizationPromotes teamwork between operational groups and departmentsOther duties as assignedQualifications
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; CPA a plus.2-4 years of relevant experience in corporate finance, financial planning & analysis, or other related fields.Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skillsAttention to accuracy and detail requiredExcellent computer skills, especially with ExcelExcellent oral/written communication skillsStrong work ethicTeam playerNot the right fit?
