What is the opportunity?
You will play a key role in the risk assessment and continuous risk monitoring for RBC Capital Markets’ trading clients globally.
What you will do
Understand and assess risks inherent in (i) the asset management industry and its regulation, (ii) the sponsors and the markets they operate in, (iii) trading products and (iv) investment strategies.Net Asset Value monitoring and other risk metrics.Undertake annual reviews on a timely basis to remain compliant with deadlines.Preparation and recommendation of internal risk ratings.Other primary responsibilities that may arise from time to time in support of risk assessment and continuous monitoring.What you need to succeed?
Honours, B.A. or B. Comm or equivalent.Understanding and knowledge of fund industry and securities regulations governing investment fundsSelf - starter with strong organizational and time management skills.Ability to establish priorities, multi-task with accompanying attention to detail.Ability to interpret, explain and communicate opinions and recommendations using strong verbal and written skills.Problem solving skills. Technical familiarity and basic understanding of Capital Markets trading products.Understanding of trading credit risk.Advanced data and computer management skills including proficiency with MS Excel.What’s in it for you?
