Position Summary
Works closely with decision makers to identify, recommend, implement and support cost effective technology solutions for all areas of the company
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
§ Responsible for system backup, hardware repair, software programming, software upgrades, system security
§ Coordinates information system projects
§ Documents normal maintenance procedures and system critical procedures, i.e. Disaster Recovery Process
§ Maintains the usability of the equipment and responds to user requests
§ Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
§ Education/Training:
o Bachelor’s Degree in Science or Engineering with major studies in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Computer Information Systems or Electrical Engineering preferred
§ Thorough knowledge of:
o Production environment with server and storage technologies, supporting multiple and various types of systems and applications,
o Progress 9.1c support
o Syteline ERP 6.00.10 support
o Data Collection environment experience
o Software for accounting, contact management, database, design, development, human resources internet, inventory, manufacturing, order processing, payroll project management and word processing
o Hardware in basic routing and switching with WAN/LAN understanding, cisco router/switches, HP switches, 3com switches and Hubs, RF networking, active directory administration, backup technologies-Symantec backup exec. with autoloader technology, windows 2000 server/windows 2003, windows 2000 terminal server, exchange server 2003ARCServeIT advanced, citrix metaframe xp, SCO unix, blackberry enterprise, windows98, 98SE, 2000,XP
o Microsoft office products, terminal emulation, ADDS terminals, computer wyse data collection terminals, intermec trakkar 2425, chase IOLAN terminal and communications servers, symbol LS2106 handheld scanners, symbol LS9100 omin-directional scanners, lucent legend, ATT merlin mail
