Under close supervision, the Analyst, Lease Accounting Services reconciles rental transactions/ledgers and charges based on lease provisions and corrects and adjusts the monthly recurring payment set-up as requested by the landlord, when required by lease.  The Analyst may interact with his or her supervisor several times a week, perhaps daily, to receive guidance and feedback. Many non-routine activities will require a supervisor’s advance approval.

Location: Grapevine, TX Office (In-office, 5 days a week)

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES*

Perform complex reconciliation between GameStop’s account ledger and the landlord recordsVerify, update, and research monthly recurring rent payments using lease and rent file within LucernexSet up new store payments in Lucernex for fully executed agreementsPerform deep dive variance and root cause analysisRespond to and resolve default notices with landlordsProcess invoices for annual reconciliations and monthly landlord billed utilities including, but not limited to, utility invoices, parking, lease required advertising, and storage agreementsProcess lease amendment and modifications and change of ownership requestsResearch and process percentage rent invoices; verify set up of percent rent calculations in LucernexMaintain accurate contact information in Lucernex and Great Plains for all contact typesEnforce lease payment provisions with the landlordsPerform requisite month end and year end close activities, including generating robust departmental reports and presentation decksProactively communicate issues and concerns with managementPromptly respond to communication from landlords via e-mail, phone, or mailSupport the building of organizational capability through continuous improvement activities; recommend action to improve existing conditions and processes; identify improvement opportunities, generate ideas, and implement solutionsManage relationships in a manner acceptable to others and to the organization

BASIC AND PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE)

Bachelor’s degree required3+ years work experience in Accounting/Finance Analyst rolesProficiency in statement reconciliation preferredExperience in root/cause analysisData mining and variance analysisProven advanced Excel skills – VLOOKUP, pivot tables, logical application of basic formulasKnowledge of legalese desired, but not requiredKnowledge of or experience with ERP system (SAP, Oracle, Great Plains, etc.)

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, JOB SKILLS, ABILITIES
