What is the opportunity?
With over $100B in balance sheet assets, Capital Markets Loan Portfolio Management (LPM) oversees one of the largest businesses in Capital Markets.
LPM is responsible for supporting Capital Markets and Corporate Banking senior management in business management and in developing / articulating business strategy.
The LPM team is comprised of generalists, with everybody trained in and able to do all aspects of the job. This role is for you if you think you can adapt quickly and have a desire to always learn and continuously grow.
What will you do?
Develop subject expertise on:All aspects of Financial Resources consumed by the Lending business.Risk and reward inherent in various types of Lending transactions.Capital Markets databases to access portfolio data for analysis and reporting.Assist Corporate Banking origination teams in:Modelling complex transactions.Maintaining and updating the deal pipeline to accurately forecast portfolio growth.Ensure accuracy of profitability modelling for daily transactions submitted to the Capital Markets Commitments Committee.Prepare and present weekly portfolio additions / removals to Senior Management in Portfolio Review Committee meeting.Prepare and present exposure against Portfolio Limits and Portfolio Risk Appetite.Prepare business case for Portfolio Limit adjustment as and when needed to ensure business continuity.Liaise with credit and liquidity Risk Parameter Estimation to ensure parameters accurately reflect the firm’s historical experience.Liaise with Capital Measurement and Balance Sheet advisory to ensure accurate allocation of financial resources to the business.Stay abreast of market and regulatory developments including Basel, OSFI CAR / LAR, and various regional / national interpretations of rules.Develop presentation, communication and preparatory materials for:Senior Management presentations to the Risk Committee of the Board.Ratings Agency meetings.Investor Day meetings.Innovate by looking within & outside of RBC to identify opportunities to advance the business and improve client and business outcome.Establish cross-business and cross-functional connectivity and collaboration to ensure ongoing alignment.What do you need to succeed?
Must Have
Minimum Bachelor’s-degree in Business, STEM or Liberal Arts.0 - 2 years of finance / management consulting experienceAbility to build and maintain collaborative relationships across a wide range of stakeholdersStrong organizational skillsNice to Have
